{"id":9671,"date":"2025-11-10T11:11:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T11:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/examkits.com\/blog\/?p=9671"},"modified":"2025-11-10T11:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T11:11:11","slug":"iaue-orders-final-year-students-to-complete-nerd-registration-for-nysc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/examkits.com\/blog\/iaue-orders-final-year-students-to-complete-nerd-registration-for-nysc\/","title":{"rendered":"IAUE Orders Final-Year Students to Complete NERD Registration for NYSC"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The management of <strong>Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE)<\/strong> has announced that all <strong>final-year and outgone students<\/strong> who have not yet participated in the <strong>National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)<\/strong> programme must <strong>complete their enrolment on the Nigeria Education and Repository Databank (NERD)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the university, this directive follows the Federal Government\u2019s policy making NERD registration a <strong>mandatory requirement<\/strong> for all NYSC mobilization and national verification exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is the NERD Platform?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>NERD platform<\/strong>, established by the <strong>Federal Government of Nigeria<\/strong>, is a <strong>national academic database<\/strong> designed for <strong>educational record verification<\/strong>. It plays a central role in the <strong>National Credentials Verification Service (NCVS)<\/strong> and ensures that academic credentials submitted for NYSC or other national programmes are <strong>authentic and traceable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this system, graduates\u2019 academic information will be securely stored, verified, and easily accessed for national use \u2014 reducing fraud and improving transparency in credential verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IAUE ICT Centre to Support Registration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To make the process easier, IAUE\u2019s <strong>ICT Centre<\/strong> and the <strong>Students\u2019 Affairs Division<\/strong> have been directed to assist students facing <strong>technical difficulties<\/strong> during registration.<br>In addition, the <strong>NERD technical team<\/strong> will provide further guidance and updates to ensure that every eligible student completes the process without stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university further advised students to <strong>update their email addresses and phone numbers<\/strong> on the student portal.
