The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially announced that all admissions for the 2025\/2026 academic session<\/strong> will close on Friday, October 31, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This update follows a directive from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)<\/strong> during its recent policy meeting with Vice-Chancellors and other key education stakeholders across Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates Urged to Accept Admission Before Deadline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to the university\u2019s management, all candidates offered admission<\/strong> into various undergraduate programs are required to accept their offers<\/strong> either on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS)<\/strong> or the UNIBEN admission portal<\/strong> before the stated deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Failure to do so, the school warned, will lead to automatic withdrawal of the admission offer<\/strong> \u2014 meaning affected candidates will forfeit their slots permanently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The directive applies to both UTME and Direct Entry applicants<\/strong> whose admission details have already been published online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNIBEN Vice-Chancellor Congratulates New Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In his official statement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edoba B. Omoregie, SAN<\/strong>, congratulated all newly admitted students on their successful admission. He encouraged them to begin preparations ahead of the start of the new academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2025\/2026 Academic Year to Commence November 10<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 2025\/2026 academic session<\/strong> at UNIBEN will commence on Monday, November 10, 2025<\/strong>. Fresh students are expected to resume for registration and orientation<\/strong> on that date, while returning students will receive departmental resumption schedules<\/strong> directly from their respective faculties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The management emphasized that the university remains dedicated to academic excellence, discipline, and holistic student development<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
