The classification of degrees includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First Class:<\/strong> 316 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second Class Upper:<\/strong> 4,120 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Second Class Lower:<\/strong> 5,939 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Third Class:<\/strong> 1,078 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pass:<\/strong> 11 students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Egbewole further revealed a breakdown of graduates from professional programmes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>MB;BS:<\/strong> 175<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nursing:<\/strong> 94<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optometry:<\/strong> 40<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Veterinary Medicine:<\/strong> 36<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Physiotherapy:<\/strong> 64<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Diploma:<\/strong> 13<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>1,520 postgraduate degrees<\/strong> will be conferred, comprising:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>182 <strong>Postgraduate Diplomas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>916 <strong>Master\u2019s Degrees<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>188 <strong>Professional Master\u2019s Degrees<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>234 <strong>Doctoral Degrees (Ph.Ds)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The convocation and Golden Jubilee ceremonies will hold from <strong>Sunday, November 23 to Friday, November 28, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UNILORIN at 50: A Legacy of Learning and Service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting on the university\u2019s 50-year journey, Professor Egbewole described the milestone as a symbol of <em>\u201cfive decades of dedication to learning, integrity, and public service.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also acknowledged the <strong>Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)<\/strong> for its unwavering support. During the 2025 academic year, UNILORIN received <strong>\u20a62.56 billion<\/strong> across 11 key areas, including staff development, ICT enhancement, entrepreneurship, and career services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional interventions included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u20a6300 million<\/strong> zonal intervention support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u20a64 billion<\/strong> under the <strong>Special High Impact Project (SHIP)<\/strong> for upgrading facilities at the College of Health Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u20a6750 million<\/strong> for a new hostel project within the same college<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds were officially presented by the <strong>Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa<\/strong>, in April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting Students and Expanding Access<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In a move to ensure financial inclusion, UNILORIN also benefited from the <strong>Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)<\/strong>, securing <strong>\u20a61.59 billion<\/strong> in loans for <strong>12,983 students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Egbewole commended the initiative, saying it guarantees that <em>\u201cno student drops out due to financial hardship.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He reaffirmed the university\u2019s mission to uphold academic excellence and nurture globally competitive graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cOur 50-year story is one of perseverance and purpose.
