A wave of panic swept through social media on Saturday, July 19, 2025, as a fake press release claimed the 2025 WASSCE for School Candidates<\/strong> had been cancelled due to widespread exam malpractice and question leaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement, which falsely claimed to be from WAEC and the Federal Ministry of Education, quickly went viral \u2014 sparking confusion, fear, and frustration among thousands of students and parents nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But WAEC has now stepped forward with the facts \u2014 and it\u2019s good news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WAEC: \u201cWe Didn\u2019t Cancel the Exams\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In an official clarification released through verified channels, the West African Examinations Council (WAEC)<\/strong> categorically denied ever issuing such a cancellation notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
