{"id":5889,"date":"2025-06-27T15:57:30","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T15:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/examkits.com\/blog\/?p=5889"},"modified":"2025-06-27T15:57:32","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T15:57:32","slug":"breaking-ebsu-approves-mop-up-exam-for-long-standing-students-heres-what-you-must-know","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/examkits.com\/blog\/breaking-ebsu-approves-mop-up-exam-for-long-standing-students-heres-what-you-must-know\/","title":{"rendered":"BREAKING: EBSU Approves Mop-Up Exam for Long-Standing Students \u2014 Here\u2019s What You Must Know"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has officially approved a special mop-up examination for students who have overstayed in their academic programmes but are still eager to graduate.<\/strong> If you\u2019ve been stuck in the system and have completed your required coursework without success, this could be your final chance to walk the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is Eligible for the Mop-Up Exam?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To qualify for this rare opportunity, you must meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You were once a full-time or WASP student at Ebonyi State University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You&#8217;ve exceeded the official duration of your programme (i.e., more than 6 years for standard courses or 8 years for longer ones).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You had previously registered for and sat the exams in the courses you now wish to retake.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You <strong>cannot<\/strong> include any course you never attempted before \u2014 this is a <em>mop-up<\/em>, not a shortcut.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>???? <em>No second chances for courses you never tried. This is strictly for students who\u2019ve made multiple efforts but haven\u2019t succeeded yet.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Many Courses Can You Register For?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You can register for up to <strong>30 credit units<\/strong> if you pay the full sessional school fees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Want to add more courses? It\u2019ll cost <strong>\u20a610,000 per extra course<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There\u2019s a maximum cap of <strong>10 additional courses<\/strong>, unless otherwise reviewed by the university management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of Deans and HODs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Heads of Department are required to reach out to all eligible students immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faculty Deans will supervise the smooth coordination of this mop-up exam within their faculties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A full list of qualified students must be compiled and submitted to the university through the <strong>Results Database office<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Dates You Shouldn\u2019t Miss<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The mop-up examinations will hold between:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monday, July 14 to Saturday, July 19, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark your calendars, spread the word, and start preparing \u2014 this could be your final shot at graduation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is Not Eligible?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who fall under the following categories <strong>cannot<\/strong> participate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Those currently <strong>suspended<\/strong> or who have been <strong>expelled<\/strong> from the university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative by EBSU is a golden opportunity for students who\u2019ve put in the time and effort but haven\u2019t made it across the finish line.
