This opportunity, under the School of Basic and Remedial Studies, offers a one-session academic upgrade designed to help students bridge admission gaps and qualify for future degree programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Missed Out on Admission? Here\u2019s Your Second Chance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you didn\u2019t meet the JAMB cut-off or your O\u2019level result was incomplete, this remedial programme may be the opportunity you need. The programme runs over one full academic session\u2014two semesters of intensive academic preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Can Apply?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>AFIT&#8217;s remedial programme is open to candidates who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Scored below the JAMB cut-off mark<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applied to AFIT or any other university\/polytechnic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have incomplete O\u2019level results (e.g., missing credit in English or Mathematics)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates are still expected to complete their required O\u2019level subjects before they can be admitted into any degree programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entry Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Social and Management Sciences:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of <strong>five credit passes<\/strong> in not more than <strong>two sittings<\/strong> (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credits <strong>must include English and Mathematics<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least <strong>two credits<\/strong> should be from social arts subjects; others can be from general social sciences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For Engineering and Sciences:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Five credit passes including <strong>English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Results must be from <strong>not more than two sittings<\/strong> in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme Duration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The remedial course runs for <strong>one academic session<\/strong>, which includes <strong>two full semesters<\/strong> of lectures, tests, and examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happens After the Programme?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pass all remedial examinations, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the UTME cut-off score,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026will be considered for admission into AFIT\u2019s degree programmes\u2014based on performance and space availability in their chosen departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow these steps to apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/portal.afit.edu.ng\/remedial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AFIT Remedial Application Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>2025\/2026 academic session<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the online application form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make a payment of <strong>\u20a610,000<\/strong> using an Interswitch-enabled ATM card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Print out your completed application form<\/strong>\u2014you\u2019ll need this and your O\u2019level results during registration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Timeline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Opening Date:<\/strong> June 27, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Closing Date:<\/strong> July 26, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Apply early<\/em> to avoid last-minute issues with network delays or portal closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Notes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>AFIT strongly warns applicants against fraudulent practices. <strong>No additional payments<\/strong> are required beyond the official \u20a610,000 fee.
