Whether you&#8217;re from a small island nation or a bustling city, this is your chance to make your voice heard and showcase your creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Theme: &#8220;Our Commonwealth Journey&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme for this year&#8217;s competition, <em>&#8220;Our Commonwealth Journey&#8221;<\/em>, encourages you to explore the shared history and future of the Commonwealth. A unique group of 56 countries spanning five continents and over 2.7 billion people, the Commonwealth is a global community full of diverse stories, places, and cultures. What journey inspires you? Whether it&#8217;s a place, a person, or a time, your writing could capture the spirit of our shared journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Enter: Senior and Junior Categories<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition is divided into two categories to ensure that everyone has a fair shot. Both categories allow participants to select from a range of thought-provoking topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senior Category<\/strong><br><em>For writers born between 23 May 2006 and 23 May 2011<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Word Limit: 1,500 words<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Topics to choose from:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imagine a Commonwealth where everyone has equal access to education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retell a famous folklore from your country or another in a fresh way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write about a book that took you on a journey and how it changed your life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tell the life story of a plant that grows in the heart of your town or village.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Junior Category<\/strong><br><em>For writers born on or after 23 May 2011<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Word Limit: 750 words<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Topics to choose from:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share a story of a time you learned something new about a Commonwealth country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write about a sea trip from one country to a small island nation. What do you see? Who do you meet?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You find a secret door into your favorite book. What happens inside?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imagine animals from different countries gathering for a big meeting. What do they say?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prizes and Recognition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners in both categories will receive exciting rewards, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A Free Trip to London<\/strong>: Two winners from each group will enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to London. The week-long adventure will mix fun, learning, and culture, culminating in a grand event at a Royal Palace.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Certificates and Awards<\/strong>: All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation, and some will be recognized with Gold, Silver, or Bronze Awards for their outstanding writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To participate, you must live in a Commonwealth country or territory.
