The appointment takes effect from February 10, 2025, and will last for a period of six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to Expect from the New Acting Vice-Chancellor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Chijioke, an experienced academic leader, steps into this critical role at a pivotal time for the university. His responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day affairs of the university during this transitional period, ensuring that academic and administrative functions continue smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A key task will be leading the process of selecting a permanent Vice-Chancellor. However, it\u2019s important to note that Professor Chijioke will not be eligible to apply for the permanent role once it is advertised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Professor Chijioke\u2019s Track Record<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before this appointment, Professor Chijioke served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) in Ideato, Imo State.
