The Board is advising candidates to first verify and correct their personal details with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) before starting the registration process. Here&#8217;s what you need to know to avoid any delays and ensure a smooth registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why You Must Verify Your Information Now<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>JAMB will rely solely on the personal details linked to your National Identification Number (NIN) during the registration process. This means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Any discrepancies in your name, date of birth, or other personal information must be corrected at NIMC before you start registering for UTME.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JAMB will not make changes to your personal details except for minor spelling errors, so ensuring accuracy with NIMC is essential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If there are mistakes in your NIMC records, they will carry over to your JAMB registration unless corrected in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What JAMB Is Saying About Data Accuracy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In a recent virtual meeting with Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre operators, JAMB\u2019s Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, made it clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>JAMB does not collect or alter personal details such as names, birthdates, or addresses directly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The only requirement for UTME registration is your National Identification Number (NIN), which links directly to your personal data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The NIMC records are final\u2014no personal information will be changed by JAMB, and any errors must be fixed at NIMC first.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don\u2019t Try to Manipulate Your Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>JAMB has emphasized that it will not tolerate any attempts to alter personal information, including age or names, after registration with NIMC. The minimum age for admission into university is 16 years by September 30, 2025.
