This prestigious accolade reflects the university&#8217;s commitment to advancing GovTech initiatives within the academic sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Recognition Earned Through National Engagement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is the culmination of a rigorous nationwide nomination and voting process, engaging media platforms across Nigeria to highlight institutions excelling in technological innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celebrating Leadership: VC Awarded as GovTech Trailblazer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding to NSUK&#8217;s accolades, Professor Sa\u2019adatu Hassan Liman, the university&#8217;s Vice-Chancellor, was honored with the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer\u2019s Award. This recognition underscores her pivotal role in advancing digital governance and technology reforms that align with the Federal Government\u2019s digital transformation agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Award Ceremony: A Night to Remember<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The award presentation took place at the elegant NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja on Friday, October 11, 2024. In her acceptance speech, Professor Sa\u2019adatu expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and credited the award to NSUK\u2019s significant strides in digital governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Achievements Driving NSUK\u2019s Digital Revolution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since her appointment in April 2024, Professor Sa\u2019adatu has led a transformative Digital Revolution at NSUK. Key initiatives include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enhanced Student Portal<\/strong>: Improved service delivery through a streamlined student portal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Revamped Payment System<\/strong>: A revised student payment portal to reduce financial leakages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Automated Revenue Processes<\/strong>: Automation of the Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) reconciliation process, enhancing financial transparency and efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upgrading Online Services for a Modern Learning Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under Professor Sa\u2019adatu\u2019s leadership, NSUK has made significant upgrades to its online services. The internet bandwidth was increased from 156 Mbps to an impressive 1 Gbps, facilitating a more robust online Post-UTME screening and admission process. Additionally, Computer-Based Tests (CBT) were implemented across multiple platforms, streamlining administrative procedures and enriching the learning experience for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ensuring Academic Integrity and Transparency<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The digital reforms not only bolstered NSUK&#8217;s revenue but also strengthened the integrity of academic records. Enhanced examination processes have improved transparency, addressing unethical practices and raising academic standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Honoring Other Outstanding Contributors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The award ceremony also recognized several distinguished individuals, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Honourable Minister of Housing and Urban Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>H.E. Muhammad Umar Bago, Governor of Niger State<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>H.E.
