Post-UTME Screening 2026: What Happens After JAMB Results

After you receive your JAMB UTME results, the next critical step is Post-UTME screening. Universities like Niger Delta University (NDU), Newgate University Minna, Nigerian British University, and Elizade University have announced their Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening for 2026. Each institution sets its own cut-off marks, screening methods, and registration requirements. JAMB UTME Centres Abroad: New Ottawa, Canada Plan

A major development for Nigerians living overseas is JAMB’s plan to establish a UTME examination centre in Ottawa, Canada, launching in 2027. According to Within Nigeria’s report on JAMB UTME abroad, JAMB Registrar Prof. Segun Aina visited the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa to discuss the arrangement. This means Nigerian students in Canada can now sit for UTME without travelling back to Nigeria. The exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), and results will follow the standard JAMB process, allowing you to apply for admission to Nigerian institutions immediately afterward.

Nigerians abroad who grew up outside the country, children of diplomatic staff, or those temporarily relocated can now access JAMB UTME through foreign centres. This expands opportunities for diaspora students maintaining educational ties with Nigeria.
