The event will take place at the <strong>New Convocation Arena, University Park<\/strong>, and is scheduled to begin at <strong>10:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Matriculation at a Glance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Date:<\/strong> Tuesday, February 10, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time:<\/strong> 10:00 a.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Venue:<\/strong> New Convocation Arena, University Park, University of Port Harcourt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Seating and Protocol Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All matriculating students are required to be <strong>seated by 8:30 a.m.<\/strong> to ensure orderly proceedings. According to the University, the ceremony will feature the traditional academic procession by members of the University Senate, which makes early seating mandatory for all fresh students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Photography Ban Inside the Arena<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIPORT has placed a <strong>strict ban on photography inside the Convocation Arena<\/strong> throughout the duration of the ceremony. Students, parents, and invited guests are advised to comply fully with this directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Fresh Students Must Do<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The University outlined clear steps that all matriculating students must follow before and after the ceremony:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Print and Submit the Matriculation Pledge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Each student is required to print the <strong>Matriculation Pledge<\/strong> online. After taking the official oath during the ceremony, students must sign the pledge and return it <strong>the same day<\/strong> to their <strong>College Secretary or Faculty Officer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Collection of Academic Gowns (Full-Time Students)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Full-time students are to collect their academic gowns from their <strong>Faculty or College<\/strong> starting <strong>Thursday, January 29, 2026<\/strong>, upon presentation of their <strong>school charges receipt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University emphasized that <strong>no extra payments<\/strong> should be made for any document or service at the faculty level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Outfit Collection for Part-Time Students<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Part-time students are directed to contact the <strong>College Secretary at the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE)<\/strong> for the collection and return of their matriculation outfits. The process for pickup and return will be handled exclusively through the CCE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Deadline for Gown Return<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>All academic gowns must be returned to the appropriate <strong>Faculty or College no later than Friday, February 20, 2026<\/strong>.
