Daminabo<\/strong>, the university outlined the ceremony date, time, venue, procedures for academic gown collection, return deadlines, and penalties for defaulters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Matriculation Date, Time, and Venue<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the announcement, RSU\u2019s 44th matriculation ceremony is scheduled as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, <strong>28 January 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time:<\/strong> <strong>9:00 a.m. prompt<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Venue:<\/strong> <strong>University Convocation Arena<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The university emphasized punctuality, as matriculation is a compulsory academic exercise for all fresh students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who Must Collect Academic Gowns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>RSU directed <strong>all registered fresh students<\/strong> admitted for the 2025\/2026 session to collect academic gowns for the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gown collection will be handled <strong>through faculty channels<\/strong>, meaning students must visit their <strong>respective Faculty Officers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When Gown Collection Begins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Start Date:<\/strong> <strong>Friday, 23 January 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From this date, eligible students can begin collecting their gowns from their Faculty Officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements for Gown Collection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before an academic gown can be issued, students are required to present the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Evidence of payment<\/strong> of acceptance fee and other mandatory charges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two (2) recent passport photographs<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Printed copy of the online admission letter<\/strong>, along with a valid <strong>residential address and phone number<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>University officials warned that failure to present <strong>all required documents<\/strong> may delay or prevent gown collectio<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadline for Return of Academic Gowns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>RSU set a strict deadline for returning academic gowns:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>On or before Friday, 30 January 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The university stressed that this deadline is <strong>mandatory<\/strong> for all matriculating students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Penalty for Late Return<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who fail to return their gowns by the stipulated date will face the following penalties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u20a65,000 per day<\/strong>, chargeable for up to <strong>one week<\/strong> after the deadline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The management advised students to return their gowns early to avoid accumulating daily penalties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Portal Deactivation After One Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>RSU further stated that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>After <strong>one week of default<\/strong>, the student\u2019s <strong>portal will be deactivated<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The portal will only be reopened after payment of a <strong>fixed, non-negotiable \u20a610,000 reopening fee<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">University\u2019s Message to Matriculants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The university described the matriculation ceremony as a key academic tradition that formally welcomes new students into the RSU community.
