According to the Commission, FUKASHERE met all the baseline standards required at this preliminary stage, clearing the path for the programmes to commence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Three New Programmes Approved by NUC<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a letter dated <strong>December 8, 2025<\/strong>, the NUC confirmed that the following programmes are now accredited to begin:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>B.D.S. Dental Surgery<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B.N.Sc. Nursing Science<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B.O.T. Occupational Therapy<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Commission emphasized that the approval covers <strong>full-time mode only<\/strong>, and any attempt to introduce part-time options must undergo a fresh round of scrutiny and gain separate authorization. Additionally, FUKASHERE is required to maintain the <em>exact programme titles<\/em> as approved, with any renaming subject to formal approval from the NUC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Significance of the Approval for FUKASHERE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This development marks a strategic expansion of the university\u2019s health sciences portfolio\u2014an area in high demand across Nigeria, especially in the north-east region.
