In a special bulletin released on <strong>Monday, 17 November 2025<\/strong>, the Vice Chancellor, <strong>Professor Mrs Eunice Ebohserhiemen Omozoje<\/strong>, speaking on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, staff, and students, reiterated the university\u2019s long-standing rules on student conduct before, during, and after exams, both on and off campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strict Ban on Wild Jubilation<\/strong><br>The AAU Management emphasized that wild celebrations are strictly prohibited during the exam period. Students are expected to remain calm and focused on their papers. Actions that are <strong>explicitly banned<\/strong> include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pouring water, sand, or drinks on students or staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motor, bike, or bicycle parades to mark exam completion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loud shouting, hooting, dancing, or use of alcohol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Playing loud music or forming crowds around administrative buildings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Management notes that such activities can result in property damage, personal injury, or disturbances to public peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sanctions for Violating Exam Rules<\/strong><br>Students who engage in prohibited acts may face <strong>serious disciplinary measures<\/strong>, including cancellation of their examinations.
